Practice Area – Criminal Defense
Mr. Tuann clerked at the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office, Major Crimes Division and at the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office, Death Penalty Unit. He has handled numerous criminal law cases, usually obtaining diversion for his clients, thereby avoiding any conviction at all.
When there were convictions, Mr. Tuann was often able to expunge the conviction, allowing his clients to honestly testify under oath that they have never been convicted of a crime. In a 2005 domestic violence case in Pleasanton, Mr. Tuann argued and obtained a reduction in bail from $30,000.00 to no bail at all.
